Francesco - Street Dance Academy Wimbledon | MertonFrancesco's aspiration in life has, and always will be to become an artistic Director/ choreographer. Ever since discovering dance, he has been fascinated by its way of empowering dancers with the art of expression. Becoming such a role for him means a lot more than just creating work, he wants to be able to give back to the community, and doing so by empowering the next generation the same way he was when he found dance.
Working at Street Dance Academy, Francesco can develop and nurture those skills. He's a huge believer that knowledge is power and he implements that concept when he teaches/choreographs because he wants to make sure that his students learn the correct context of dance, as well as, be confident in the tools they learn off him. Dance is a powerful form of art for anyone to stimulate creativity, self-expression or even just to shake a leg with a community of dancers. He wants people to enjoy dance and choreography the same way he does, whether it is through a choreographic project or by taking part in his classes, he wants to make sure that they walk away feeling creative, empowered and most importantly happy with themselves. His experiences with BoyBlue Ent, Breakin Convention, InDaHouse etc have given me the knowledge he needs to start giving back. He has also put up choreographic projects of his own on multiple platforms, such as Studio 3 Arts: Vital Stage, UEL’s Scratch Lab. He's had experience in and outside the studio, teaching within classroom environments to battling in dance events around London. After graduating with first-class honours in Dance: Urban Practice at the University of East London, he feels ready than ever to take it a step further and grow as an artist. |
